I will overwhelm 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice unified title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
